WebOct 31, 2024 · I painted my tow hooks this weekend. Went from black to Ford Blue from duplicolor. There is a clear coat on the black you have to scuff. I used 600 grit, used grease and wax remover, painted 3 coats of Ford Blue and 3 coats of Diamond satin clear from Eastwood. I like them a lot better. Web13 hours ago · Join Date: Apr 2024. Posts: 9. I just put on Ford Performance blue tow hooks, I did not go with the red because I feel like that is a Chevy thing and I bought them instead of painting my old ones.

It comes down to time. If you got it then definately remove the bumper. No matter how good you are at taping, etc, its so easy to accidently get overspray on the jeep.
