WebThe Great Lakes Coastal Resilience Study (GLCRS) was proposed as a 729 watershed study 5 years ago, and authorized in WRDA 2024, but has not been funded. USACE should fund and implement the GLCRS in partnership with state and local governments to help Great Lakes coastal communities become more resilient. WebLake Michigan water levels were below the long-term average from 1999 to 2014, but began to rise, and rise rapidly, from record low water levels in January 2013. The integrated assessment took into account this variability of Great Lakes water levels and how those levels affect the stability of coastal bluffs and beaches.
